Interesting things about the interview:
1. Minho says don’t call him ahjusshi before he turns 40. Call him oppa.
2. Minho really wanted to be a soccer player in high school but because of an injury he couldn’t play anymore. After a while the idea of becoming an actor came to him.
3. In the summer during his graduation he was in a car accident wherein he laid in bed for 6 months!
4. Minho says “When filming, so as it won’t be awkward with my co-stars, I call them by their character name, or I joke with them. I always start conversations with them about acting.”
5. Minho’s very particular about his hair. One time he had to meet a friend but when he was about to leave, he realized he wasn’t satisfied with his hair. So after doing his hair for three times and he still wasn’t happy with it, he cancelled on his friend. So he’s relieved now that he has a personal hairstylist at least that’s one less thing to worry about.
6. The interviewer asked Minho, what kind of life does he envision for himself 10 years after. Minho looked at his manager and asked “I can get married by then, right? (lol)”
7. “A lot of male actors look forward to turning 30. But I actually like my current state of being in between youth and adulthood. A lot of people say that your manly charisma only comes out when you reach 30. But when my youth is gone, I’ll be sad too. To be honest, I hate the feeling of time passing so quickly”
8. “My dream girl is Song Hye Kyo. She looks very demure and elegant, but she’s also very bold and daring and is a talented actress.” Minho believes everyone has their own charisma. He hopes his future partner is someone who knows her own charisma, someone he can talk to about anything, and someone who’s respectful to their elders.
9. Although Minho is good son, and would often tell his mom “If I will be successful, I will buy better gifts for mom and dad”. If his parents are against the person he loves, he will choose to elope!
10. “I will elope with her. Even if we have to run away at the middle of the night we would still get married. I am even more persistent about love than Goo Jun Pyo”
Q: People say celebrities know how to dress themselves well. Are you the same? What style/colors do you prefer?
A: I am still learning. This season I love long coats. I prefer black or white. Although I’m not a huge fan of bright colors, I’ve been trying them. Also, I don’t like wearing many accessories. I only wear one ring.
Q: After playing so many roles that make women swoon, what other roles would you like to play?
A: I hope I get to play a few rebellious roles before I become older. For example, a rebellious student, a very passionate youth, or a punk in the neighborhood.
Q: If you can have a special power what will it be?
A: I want to be able to turn back time. So that I can see what the people around me are doing when I’m not looking. For example, him! (points to an assistant nearby)
